From Et al.’s Research and Development department comes a project centered on the experience of sitting and the pleasure of staying: UNIK-AL, a seat designed to enhance the dimension of conviviality.
The UNIK-AL shell, wide and enveloping, provides an immediate sense of well-being.
The backrest opens with a generous curve that welcomes the body and encourages a more relaxed, almost informal posture. The seat invites you to pause, to extend conversation, to transform the simple act of sitting into a more unhurried and shared moment—one that fully embraces the pleasure of staying.
Alongside the three-dimensional texture, which works on the surface by recalling the language of upholstery, the new copper, titanium and gold finishes, created through a manual brushing process, add character both to the seat and to the space in which it is placed.
The relief of the texture, combined with the new metallic colors, captures reflections, concentrates them, and sets them in motion again, without altering the perception of lightness in the structure, which remains unchanged.
In environments such as restaurants, lounges, bistros and hospitality spaces, UNIK-AL helps shape an atmosphere where comfort becomes part of the spatial experience. The seat accompanies moments of social interaction and extended stay, supporting that balance between functionality and perceptual quality that defines many contemporary hospitality design projects.
