The wall bookcase in the Kobe collection: Newform Ufficio designs the office as an evolving architectural landscape 26.06.2026
The Kobe collection by Newform Ufficio is conceived around the idea of a workplace able to transform over time, adapting to changing rhythms, habits and ways of working.
Designed as an open system, Kobe office furniture reconfigures space according to specific needs, revealing with immediate visual clarity the logic of an architectural partition: a light, modular structure that distributes the fundamental functions of contemporary work settings.
This architectural element takes shape in the full-height wall bookcase. Its modular side-panel system, composed of vertical load-bearing panels and horizontal shelves, allows the structure to be freely customised. Dimensions can be adapted, open and closed modules can be integrated, and the furniture can be tailored to different spaces, functions and aesthetic requirements.
With its horizontal extension, the wall bookcase defines the visual field without interrupting the relationship with large glazed surfaces. The FENIX Blu Fes boiserie, paired with glass shelves, preserves visual lightness while maintaining the storage capacity of the entire structure.
The harmony between materials and colours — from the deep blue background to the brightness of the metal supports — extends across the various work configurations. In its horizontal development, the composition is designed to create a refined chromatic contrast: the intense blue backdrop enhances the objects and books displayed on the shelves.
In the vertical modular grid version, closed storage units in the lower section are combined with open modules, creating an articulated system that brings together visual order and generous storage potential.
The result is an equipped wall operating on two levels: the open section, marked by regular modules, creates a rigorous architectural texture, while the closed volumes introduce depth and solidity. The storage system integrated into the bookcase reveals a precise material and chromatic coherence. Black smoked-glass doors are paired with the Anodic Black finish of the metal desk structures, while FENIX NTM® Verde Comodoro, used for the worktops, reappears on the sides and tops of the storage modules.
Across all Kobe configurations, the relationship between desk and wall bookcase is expressed through shared slender, tapered geometries. The metal legs, progressively narrowing towards the floor, give visual lightness and maintain a coherent line with the vertical architecture of the bookcases. Chrome feet, also used at the base of the rear storage units, add a refined detail that reflects Newform Ufficio’s attention to precision and its Made in Italy identity.
Completing the Kobe collection is a broad catalogue of finishes that allows each environment to define its own character. The combination of materials, colours and textures makes it possible to design operational, executive or shared spaces according to specific functional needs and expressive choices, offering a design language capable of interpreting different aesthetics and distinctive identities.
