The “journey” recounted by Carpet Edition 16.07.2024
Design that unites art and environment
Better still if the story highlights nature in all of its details, maintaining the idea of timeless beauty.
As in every journey, Carpet Edition’s also starts with a “path”. The one chosen by Carpet Edition is made up of a collection of rugs designed by AMDL CIRCLE, multidisciplinary studio founded by Michele De Lucchi. Six irregular polygons, joined together with specially designed velcro coins, give life to an infinite amount of new Pathways. A route through interior domestic spaces which evokes a sense of adventure, transforming every step into an experience of rediscovery. A path that, in everyday life, anyone can design.
Continuing along the imaginary route, are also the shaped rugs and new tapestries of the brand-new Ken Scott Collection. Known as the “gardener of fashion”, Ken Scott brings his passion for flowers into our interiors thanks to Carpet Edition’s expert translation. These rugs, with their bold forms and vibrant colors, turn any space into a flowering garden.
The creations of Maria Thereza Alves for With summer comes the desire to renew and refresh our spaces. Why not do it with style, with rugs that tell a story? Carpet Edition, an artist well known for her commitment to nature and indigenous cultures are getting people to talk about art. Every creation is a canvas which tells stories about biodiversity and respect for the environment. The intricate designs and natural colors selected by Alves make these rugs not only decorative pieces, but true works of art which carry a message of sustainability and harmony with nature.
A journey which concludes with the Foliage rug collection designed by Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani. These rugs, with their inspiration drawn from leaves and plants are ideal for those who want to bring a piece of nature inside as a celebration of simple and unspoiled beauty of vegetation.
A selection of rugs by Carpet Edition which invites us to rediscover nature through art and design, in full respect of the environment. Each piece promotes sustainability through the use of eco-friendly materials, natural fibers such as New Zealand Wool, Linen and above all Tencel, which reduces environmental impact. A choice which reflects the company philosophy which aims to minimize waste and the use of harmful chemical in all phases of production.
The now well-established collaboration with artists like Maria Thereza Alves, which integrate sustainability into their creative processes and promote environmental awareness through art, supports the design of Carpet Edition to create rugs designed to last over time, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Whether we are talking about the artistic pathway of AMDL CIRCLE, the floral explosions of Ken Scott translated by Carpet Edition, the cultural stories of Maria Theresa Alves, or of the relaxing greenery of the Foliage rugs by Romani and Saccani, each piece is designed to get us close to nature, promoting a sustainable approach.
