TÊT: The new seat for contemporary hospitality spaces designed by Marco Acerbis for Et al. 11.09.2026

Two curved plywood shells define the silhouette of TÊT, the new seat designed by Marco Acerbis for Et al.
An essential construction in which apparent simplicity reveals a strong formal identity made of volumes, proportions and visual perception.
The backrest, wide and slightly enveloping, becomes the iconic sign of the chair. Like a continuous and neutral surface, it defines the character of TÊT, enhancing its volumetric dimension.
The seat, also made of curved plywood, can accommodate an upholstered cushion that introduces a softer tactile component. This element softens the geometric rigor of the shell, completing the continuity of the curves and contributing to balanced comfort, both visual and ergonomic. In this configuration, the upholstered element remains intentionally separate from the backrest. The two versions, entirely in wood or with an upholstered cushion, express the versatility of TÊT, allowing it to naturally adapt to different contexts: the choice of upholstery becomes a design option capable of modulating the identity of the chair without altering its formal essence.
In both versions, seat and backrest, like two shells, fit naturally onto a light and rational four-leg metal frame.
TÊT naturally addresses even the most pragmatic aspects: it is easily stackable, a quality often considered secondary but essential in everyday use. Here it becomes an integral part of the concept, contributing to a design vision where efficiency and formal quality coexist without compromise.
Stackability translates into smarter space management: the seats stack neatly, reducing bulk and facilitating storage and handling operations. A technical detail that becomes a tangible value, especially in dynamic hospitality contexts where flexibility is a daily necessity.
Light and functional, yet endowed with a distinctive personality, TÊT does not merely respond to technical needs: it builds a more natural and immediate relationship with the user, transforming an everyday element into a presence capable of making a lasting impression.
