Turri at the Supersalone / Fuorisalone 2021 26.07.2021

“Taking part in the September edition of the Supersalone, for Turri, means sending out a signal of optimism. Since its first edition, we have participated in the Fair with enthusiasm and excellent results, and we simply could not miss this appointment.”

These are the words of the president Andrea Turri, who describes the company’s participation in the new, exceptional event dedicated to design and scheduled in Milan from 5 to 10 September.

Jealous guardian of that artisan tradition that has made it an ambassador of Made in Italy in the world, Turri has already embarked on a path of stylistic renewal for some years. This path was inspired by the ability to capture the needs of the market and the expectations of the new generations, more cosmopolitan than the previous ones. The company launched new collections to satisfy modern, contemporary tastes, relying on international architects and designers, and the novelties presented at the Supersalone and Fuorisalone 2021 only confirm the success of this strategy.

Huang Quan, a leading figure in the Chinese interior design scene, signs the new collection of furniture for the Pinnacle dining area. A collection rich in symbolic and metaphorical meanings, an ideal synthesis between Eastern philosophy and Western culture, declined through modern style furniture. The table, chairs, sideboard and vitrine evoke the natural forms of the typical landscapes in Shan Shui painting: steep peaks surrounded by gentle waterways, a symbol of strength and grace, become a metaphor of moral stature, height, and apex which inspired the actual name of the collection.

Slender and soft lines, fine materials and detailed craftsmanship define each of the pieces of furniture, an expression of elegant and refined taste.

New proposals for the living area – the Soul collection and the Harp armchair, designed by Giuseppe Viganò and inspired by the world of music, its ability to arouse deep emotions by connecting the human soul with the surrounding world. The modular sofa and the Soul swivel armchair, (both available in the fixed versions), are characterized by their soft and enveloping shapes and by the panels that frame the outer side of the backrests with precious leather inserts. More versatile is the Harp armchair, whose tapered walnut base supports a concave padded structure, ready to surround the body in a delicate embrace.

Studio Viganò also expanded the Blues collection, launched in 2020. To enrich the range dedicated to the living area, new finishes have been introduced this year for the sofa and the coffee tables, as well as new elements such as a low cabinet and a swivel armchair. Above all, Turri now presents the Blues proposals for the sleeping area, complete with a bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and dressing tables, all characterized by a distinctly contemporary design.

Even the Zenit collection expanded this year with the introduction of a new low cabinet, Andrea Bonini also returns to collaborate with Turri, designing the new Blossom upholstered piece and the new Vision coffee tables. Soft and sinuous lines define the sofa and the armchair, whose padded structure recalls that of the chalice of a flower which surrounds its petals. On the other hand, the Vision coffee tables are characterized by a light structure, playing on intertwining solids and voids to be admired through the transparency of the glass top.
