Oku and Cloe, the new creations by MY home collection 19.06.2018

Designed by Federica Biasi, new furnishings inspired by Japanese culture and the world of flowers

Inspired by the poetry and solid Oriental philosophy, Oku is the new dining table by MY home collection, resulting from the partnership between the dynamic Tuscan brand and the young designer, Federica Biasi.
It is an object that speaks of faraway lands, those of the Rising Sun, where the word Oku means ‘oak’, to express the force and solidity of the century-old tree and ancient Japanese culture. The choice of name immediately becomes evident, as one stands before Oku, to ‘interact’ with a generously-proportioned object with a reassuring and sophisticated design. Indeed, Oku is distinguished by a large oval matt lacquered MDF table top that rests atop a robust pedestal with a steel base and metal profiles that vary from copper, to bronze and even gold, creating unique and refined combinations.

Also designed by Federica Biasi, Cloe is the new seat by MY home collection bearing a sinuous, light-weight and delicate design. Indeed, the concept of Cloe stems from the composition and delicacy of the ‘world’ of flowers, of its styling and substance.  Like a blooming flower, Cloe consists of slim lacquered steel legs in shades of bronze, gold, silver and copper, which support a Polimex body padded with polyurethane foam upholstered with fabric and available in a multitude of finishes. Extreme comfort and softness that afford the enjoyable feeling of ‘sitting on a flower’.

Oku and Cloe reflect a formal simplicity and clean-cut, elemental styling appeal, the basic principles of a design concept shared by both MY home collection and Federica Biasi.
