Melting Light. Frank Jiang for Turri. 10.09.2020

Eastern inspiration, contemporary style, Italian craftsmanship. The combination of all these elements are intrinsic to the Melting Light collection, designed for Turri by Frank Jiang: a collection of refined and precious furniture designed to meet the tastes of the new cosmopolitan generations.

Soft, enveloping, almost circular lines define the volumes of all the elements of the collection. The design, clearly distinctive, is now far from the ‘classic’ style; in fact, it becomes more agile and lean, enhanced by details that identify the manufacturing capacity of the Company and which remain the best ambassadors of the Made in Italy in the world.

The details in brushed gold become the common thread between the elements of the living area, the dining area and the sleeping area.
The sofas and the armchairs, with the external structure covered in leather, inviting soft cushions giving maximum comfort thanks to the armrests slightly protruding towards the outside; the wooden legs, tapering downwards, are ‘illuminated’ by golden inserts, which enrich and also surround the base.

The same gold detail is repetead on the sideboards, available with sliding doors and upper flap compartment – covered in leather or natural walnut – or with hinged doors and marble top.
The design of the TV cabinet also enhanced by oblique lines. Here the front has drawers covered in leather, on the sides there are two opening compartments and the inclined legs are once again made of brushed gold metal.

The collection for the living room is completed by the vitrines in natural wood – with glass and / or leather doors, LED lighting and shelves in bronzed glass – coffee tables and side tables. Both have a wooden structure with gold details, but the first provides the possibility of a double top in marble and glass, the second provides the possibility of a comfortable and soft pocket under the top.

For the dining area Frank Jiang proposes a large rectangular table, on which the tubular detail that runs through all the elements of the collection is also present. The thin wooden legs support a top also available with a marble insert, while the chairs, characterized by the same structure as the table, embrace the user thanks to the backrest, with leather or fabric cushions.

Of the sleeping area, what is striking is the bed, with the large fan-shaped headboard, enveloping and protective, highlighted by the gold metal tubular details. The side tables and the chest of drawers, with refined lines, are characterized by the staggered wave movement of the drawers that conceal the handles, and the bench can be used in different rooms of the house. The dressing table, in natural wood with precious leather inserts, is available with or without the panel – this latter equipped with a mirror – so that it can be used as dressing table or as a desk. Finally, in addition to the padded pouf, a large cicular mirror, in brushed gold or bronze finish, ideal in any context and perfectly combinable with all the other elements of the collection.
