Fabula. From classic to contemporary. 15.12.2020

Fabula is a kitchen designed for Rastelli by Ulisse Narcisi, a project that draws its inspiration from the concept of fabula, proper to literary criticism, that refers to the story elements that form the raw material of the narrative. In the same way, different elements and styles are combined in this model to tell about a place made of conviviality and sharing, which more than any other, in both ancient and modern imagination can be found in the kitchen.

The composition in matt lacquered dove grey is a perfect example of this mixture of styles. On the one hand we find contemporary elements, such as the completely smooth doors of the base cabinets combined with the glass wall cabinets with lacquered frame: the design is essential, the lines are extremely clean, and the aluminum black – also chosen for the wall accessory Dama – gives a touch even ‘industrial’. The full-height columns used to house the household appliances and the pantry, on the other hand, give a more modern taste; here the doors create a frame that ‘warms’ and emebellishes the units, without weighing it down. Finally, here is an element with a classic taste, emblem of Rastelli’s manufacturing and craftsmanship capacity: a big sideboard in dilavato oak finish with two large doors and four drawers, perfect for storing cookware and dishware, also echo of an almost rural tradition.

Despite their differences, all styles and elements proposed in this Fabula version find harmony and balance, outlining a space dedicated to the family and able to tell you more about that italian tradition not only of good design, but also of good food.
