Carena 07.07.2026

The new desk designed by Park for Turri

Turri partners with a new creative voice for the Carena writing desk: Park, the Milanbased interdisciplinary collective of architects, designers and researchers.

The design draws inspiration from a boat’s hidden structure—the submerged hull, engineered for balance and stability. Reinterpreted here, it becomes an integrated modesty panel, enabling a more discreet and versatile use of the desk. Soft, flowing lines shape both the base and the top, resulting in a piece that feels at once substantial and light. With a sculptural yet refined gesture, Carena blends everyday comfort with a tailored sensibility, effortlessly transitioning from a writing desk to a vanity.

«Carena is conceived as an enveloping object, echoing the functional elegance of a nautical hull and translating it into an intimate piece of furniture, where structure and modesty panel merge into a single, coherent form», says Marco Sorrentino, Product Design Director at Park.

The refined language of nautical design meets Turri’s renowned craftsmanship, showcasing premium materials and meticulous attention to detail. Measuring 140 × 70 cm, Carena features a walnut top edged in leather, paired with a walnut base enriched by a leather insert.

With Carena, Turri and Park present a design defined by clarity, simplicity and enduring craftsmanship, reflecting a shared vision of innovation grounded in tradition. Its compact proportions allow it to adapt seamlessly to different settings, serving equally well as a desk, a small home office solution or a vanity table.
