Fragments of voyages engraved in memory are transferred to textiles in the Bamboo Design collection from Carpet Edition. Designed by Emanuela Garbin and Michela Boglietti, the rugs in this line translate scenic landscapes, colours and the emotions of a road trip into material objects: from golden expanses of wheat fields to land scorched by the sun, from exotic vegetation to the soft silence of snowy landscapes. Each design is a trace, a deep-rooted memory, which takes form through textures, shades and delicate contrasts.

Bamboo Design rugs are produced in bamboo and cotton, woven on looms following a manufacturing tradition focused on quality and durability over time. This essential base is then enriched by skilled artisans who hand carve the surface with meticulous precision. It is these manual cuts that give the pieces depth and three-dimensionality, giving life to designs and patterns inspired by nature. The surface thus becomes animated with symbols, textures and shadows, becoming “alive” and capable of delivering intense tactile and visual perceptions.

Bamboo Design offers four different models, each available in 2 colour options, in standard 200×300 cm and 400×400 cm sizes, with custom sizes available.
Ground, in warm Senape (Mustard) and Beige tones, is characterised by irregular lines which recall land cultivated with wheat or scorched by the sun, triggering a sensation of solidity. With its delicate semi-circular carvings, Seashell (Mattone – Brick Red and Greige – Grey) is inspired by the natural rhythm of the waves and the softness of shells smoothed by the sea, while Jungle, in Nero (Black) and Alga (Light Green) tones, reproduces the veins on leaves of unexpectedly lush vegetation, evoking vibrant imagery.
Finally, Iceberg recalls the purity and silence of frozen landscapes with Ghiaccio (Ice) and Pietra (Stone) colouring: the essential patterns “sculpted” on the surface convey a feeling of quiet suspension.

The Bamboo Shaded line from Carpet Edition, also produced in bamboo and cotton, is a collection of monochromatic rugs which are destined to become timeless classics, and naturally fit into any residential or contract space. The silky surfaces of these rugs create subtle shades and enchanting plays of light and shadow which vary according to the light and vantage point, giving the rugs movement and depth. A discreet yet dynamic effect which enriches any space without overwhelming it.
Bamboo Shaded is comprised of 8 sober but sophisticated colour options – Greige (Grey), Beige, Ghiaccio (Ice), Pietra (Stone), Nero (Black), Mattone (Brick Red), Senape (Mustard) and Alga (Light Green). Available in standard 200×300 cm, 300×400 cm sizes, custom sizes, or 400cm rolls, offering flexible solutions to satisfy different project and space requirements.
The intrinsic characteristics of natural fibres like bamboo and cotton make the Bamboo Design and Bamboo Shaded rugs resistant and practical: they are dust and mite resistant, do not pill, have no problems with underfloor hearing and offer an exceptional level of comfort, making them pleasing to the touch and durable over time.
