Abimis reinterprets the soul of the Dammuso

In a private Dammuso overlooking the Mediterranean landscape of the magnificent island of Pantelleria, a kitchen from the Atelier line by Abimis, made to measure as always, completes the place of conviviality, defining its character. Stainless steel, despite its contemporary simplicity and the apparently contrasting dialogue with the warmth and tones of the surroundings, finds here a full harmony, becoming an integral part of the space. The impeccable craftsmanship accompanies its integration, lending the domestic space a coherent, measured whole. Arranged along two walls, Atelier is transformed into a project that does not merely occupy the space, but interprets it.

The typical white vaulted ceilings, the brightness of the rooms and the materiality of the surfaces define the character of the residence, in which the kitchen is introduced as a measured and character-defining element. Crafted from AISI 304 stainless steel, Atelier expresses the tailoring excellence of Abimis and its ability to translate every project into a solution finely calibrated to the characteristics and requirements of the context.

The corner configuration was conceived to accommodate the geometries of the Dammuso, enhancing its proportions and distribution of space. Reinforcing the link with the surrounding landscape, the ceramic tiling in vibrant turquoise tones recalls the colours of the sea and introduces an intense chromatic note, in dialogue with the purity of the stainless steel and the plastered surfaces. The arch houses the washing area and a practical worktop, while the opposite wall accommodates the gas hob and additional free surfaces dedicated to preparation. The doors of the Atelier kitchen are completed by the typical rounded handles of the Ego line. The composition is completed by a stainless steel tall unit with glass doors and internal shelves — also in stainless steel — designed for storing plates and glasses and fitted with two spacious drawers.

An arch connects the kitchen and dining room and allows a direct view of the Atelier kitchen. This open passageway connects the two rooms and keeps it always in view. Here, the design is not merely functional, but becomes part of the domestic space. The stainless steel surfaces establish a dialogue with the warm atmosphere inspired by Mediterranean tradition, in an evocative and contemporary whole.
