Make over with WallPepper®

The renovation project, curated by BLAARCHITETTURA Studio, involved a private unit, about 220sqm, in a Classic building from the late ‘800. The engaging building born in a special place, it’s on the right bank of the plateau in the historic centre of the city and it has a wonderful view to the valley that surrounds Cuneo and to the mountain chain of the Alpi Marittime.

The load-bearing masonry structure and solid bricks is characteristic of the stately buildings of the time that often doesn’t allow the necessary changes of the contemporary living. This situation has led the Studio to adopt the solution, accepted by the client, to use the ‘breakdown’ of the walls as a distinctive / thematic element: in fact, through some construction methods, the different areas of the house have become independent. They are being separated and differentiated by surface and material, according to their position and function.

The WallPepper® have played an important role in the formal and functional design of the flat’s spaces. These, follow one another, make the walls an extraordinary ‘frame’ to welcome furniture, complements and differentiating the areas.

Therefore, much more than a decorative element, the WallPepper® have been used as highly performing and quality supports for the customization of the rooms.

Particularly, the last room of the apartment was born with the vocation to be, at the same time, an indoor and outdoor location, with an amazing view of the valley and Alpi. This shows the ability of a wallpaper to reinterpret a space: the WallPepper® with the tropical mood, has changed, indeed, this ‘winter garden’ in an exotic, special, engaging place that allow to live emotions in contact with nature, comfortably sitting on the couch or at the dining table.

With its colourful graphics and images with a striking visual impact, WallPepper®/group has created soft and warm walls, thanks to the WallPepper® components of textile fibres, agave and cellulose.

The material WP/SmoothTNT is eco-friendly, resistant and PVC free; it’s certificated for the fire resistant in class B-s1, d0, it’s odourless, breathable, hypoallergenic and washable with natural agents.
