Toro, a symbol of strength also in upholstered furniture designed by Liu Jo Living 28.04.2023

An agile and light form that of Toro, the new collection of upholstered furniture designed by Simone Cagnazzo for Liu Jo Living. The taurine appearance of the soft backrest provided the inspiration for the name of these products which are well suited to be placed in all contexts, indoor and outdoor.

Like an ancient archetype, the thin metal frame painted with embossed powder dyes manages to be durable without sacrificing the dynamism of forms that, as in a game, harmoniously envelops in a warm embrace.

Liu Jo Living’s Toro, a symbol of strength and selflessness, in both the armchair, three-foot version, and the sofa is defined by a wide, comfortable seat and distinctive toroidal backrest. All elements give a sense of well-being with a contemporary character.

From the world of fashion, Liu Jo Living translates the craftsmanship, especially textiles, and the attitude to renewal. The same concept of “changing clothes” also applies to Toro: with extreme ease, the collection is removable and available in a huge variety of fabrics and colors.

The idea of creating fully removable seats is not only dictated by a choice of style but responds to a need for environmental sustainability: having the possibility of replacing the outer shell makes it possible to keep Liu Jo Living products always alive and current without having to change the entire structure.

A quality in step with the times that require, more and more, of a look at environmental sustainability.

An ethical and aesthetic choice that can no longer be ignored when it comes to furniture and design.

With Toro, Liu Jo Living, together with Simone Cagnazzo, wanted to create a collection that is perfectly suited to the needs of contemporary living, with a style that combines the very essence of comfort without compromising the functionality of the furniture.
