The new living area of the Roma collection by Monica Armani 28.04.2023

The journey to the Eternal City, from which the collection takes its name, continues this year with a great novelty: the newly-expanded Roma living dimension.
Designed by Monica Armani for Turri and presented at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, the Roma collection will welcome a new proposal of furnishings for the living area.

A sofa, coffee tables and a TV cabinet complete the great domestic architecture of Rome, in the name of soft and elegant lines.

The Roma sofa, available in a fixed version, resumes the story started with Monica Armani. Here, the designer’s DNA is clearly evident in the reconfirmation of the bouclé and velvet materials which, for the occasion, are imbued with new colours.
Seen in the joining of the seat and backrest, the Roma sofa is an expression of the precise and sculpted architecture of volumes. The sofa offers a generous seat with independent cushions, which, along with a plush armrest, deliberately extends along the entire perimeter of the padding, guaranteeing a feeling of immersive comfort.

The purity of the round sign carries on in the dormeuse. Conceived for timeless and sophisticated interior design, inviting you to experience it.

The contemporary elegance of the Roma collection is also expressed in the simplicity of the details and in the refined materials: an example are the metal feet proposed in Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray finishes, which lift the sofa off of the ground, enhancing the perception of lightness.

Side and coffee tables are ideal surfaces for support in the living area. The inspiring shape is always the appealing rounded line that defines the Roma collection. Cylindrical bases covered in leather support cantilevered crystal tops, creating a detail that becomes a small piece of architecture at the same time. Both coffee tables are available in a high side table version with a Calacatta Oro marble top.

To complete the living area and, above all, to reconfirm Turri’s historical tradition in the world of lacquering, here we have the new TV unit: The single-colour brick lacquered structure is upholstered on the curved sides in leather of the same brick shade, placed on top of Calacatta Oro marble. The whole body is supported by Champagne Gold metal feet.

The set-up proposed for the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023 also includes two closed cabinets. Both in glossy lacquer in a new Giada colour, on the curved sides, they are upholstered with a sand- coloured leather. One cabinet has a geometric decoration printed on the doors, and the other is completely smooth.

In the same environment, we find the sideboard proposed in the new Canaletto walnut finish with wooden doors. The sides, covered in sand-coloured leather, converse harmoniously with the Rosa Perlino marble top.

The Roma round table returns in a revisited key this year, with a base in a Graphite Grey finish made up of vertical tubes and a top in Rosa Perlino marble, with a matte finish, to create a natural fil rouge with the other furnishings in the dining area.
Around the table are the Roma chairs. As main elements of the collection, in their round shape they take up the concept of the circle and are covered in textured fabric available in the catalogue in different colour variations.

The round arch, recurrent in the millenary architecture of Rome, is a synthesis of perfection and harmony and is, once again, the protagonist of Monica Armani’s design for Turri.
