R1: from fashion to design 17.11.2020

Black is a classic colour in the fashion world but it has also a hold on design unmatched by any other color. Elegant and timeless, black fits every style and the most different tones giving a contemporary touch to any environment. Even the kitchen, often referred to as a warm and familiar place, takes on a character at the same time sober, decisive and original with black.

With R1 Rastelli proposes a very structured model, rich in finishes and design solutions. Dark tones sometimes suggest essentiality and rigour, but also surprise for the great aesthetic performance that can confer to a composition with small dimensions. So, among the many possibilities, could not miss a proposal, able to make the kitchen not only a place of the house, but a real fashion statement.

An example of this is the composition with the wall-mounted unit running through six modules with doors in lead liquid metal finish; these doors, completely smooth and with c-channel opening, are characterised by the peculiarity of the color, rich and full, and create a subtle game of contrasts with the wall cabinets’ doors, in dark fabric glass and black aluminum frame. To enrich the minimal lines of the base units, here are the open units and accessories in steel, that together with the worktop, the toe kicks and the modules’ sides enlighten the whole composition. Besides giving a professional, almost industrial touch, the equipped channel on the worktop and the wall mounted hanging rail are also practical solutions to make room for utensils, tools and ingredients to have always at hand. The kitchen is completed by the Watch-it library, a black aluminium modular element ideal for separating environments with discretion and lightness, and the column with retractable pocket doors in thermotreated oak, perfect for hiding appliances and carving out a space for the pantry.

Thus, with the choice of an unusual finish like lead liquid metal and dark wood tones, Rastelli shows how the aesthetic value can remain the protagonist in the kitchen even when you prefer small and functional compositions able to express great character thanks to simple but precious details.
