MY home collection furnishes the lounge at the new Roomz hotel in Vienna 10.12.2018

Inaugurated last June, the new Roomz city hotel is situated in the majestic, romantic city of Vienna, in the heart of the Austrian capital’s financial district, just a stone’s throw from the historic city centre and the Prater, with its famous Ferris wheel.
This is a highly strategic location, owing to its vicinity to some of the city’s biggest trade poles: from the Messe Wien – the city’s trade fair operator – to multiple venues reserved for meetings and conferences. With its 256 rooms, including suites and traditional rooms, the new Roomz project involved MY home collection, who was ‘called upon’ to furnish the hotel’s lounge areas and add a young and contemporary appeal to the setting, in keeping with the style of the entire accommodation facility.

Indeed, the Florentine brand has always placed a particular focus on style and practicality for the hotel industry with furnishings that reflect the typical exemplary workmanship and taste known all over the world as Italian excellence. Being a brand that is certified 100% Made in Italy means guaranteeing reliable, top-quality products with an exclusive design and extraordinary performance levels. To ‘do business’ in the contract and hotel industry, it is vital to observe the safety regulations envisaged for accommodation facilities. In this regard, MY home collection accommodates these criteria, using dedicated fire-retardant fabrics and specific components for its padded products.

Visitors to the lounge areas of Hotel Roomz are welcomed by large Twiggy sofas which stand out for the striking contrast between the harmonious proportions of the seat back and seat cushions and the extreme lightness of the steel legs that support the frame. The ‘speckled’ upholstery in beige finish and its discrete design means it seamlessly matches the Betty armchairs – upholstered with blue fabric – which afford the utmost comfort thanks to the different density polyurethane foam that covers the wooden body. However, Betty is not the only armchair model that adorns this space; indeed, Ziggy also keeps it company, upholstered with a beige coloured fabric on which a linear pattern is ‘drawn’ all over the seat.

The midnight blue coloured thick velvet of the Knit sofa, distinguished by soft and generous shapes, is particularly eye-catching. The goose down quilting on the seat and back provide extraordinary levels of relaxation. Last but not least, the setting is completed by the Mek coffee tables in both the round and square table top versions. The project for Roomz constitutes another major achievement for MY home collection in its growth process on the international contract scene.
