{"id":17882,"date":"2021-11-10T14:37:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T13:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/?p=17882"},"modified":"2023-11-29T14:12:13","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T13:12:13","slug":"rotin-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/en\/rotin-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Rotin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ethimo and Studio Zanellato\/Bortotto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New collaboration between\u00a0<strong>Ethimo\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Studio Zanellato\/Bortotto<\/strong>\u00a0has led to the creation of\u00a0<em><strong>Rotin<\/strong><\/em>, a lounge collection where shape, colour and substance come together to tell the story of a new way of thinking and en-joying places for relaxing in company in the open air.<\/p>\n<p>Comprising sofa, lounge armchair, coffee table and pouf with structure in pickled teak,\u00a0<strong><em>Rotin<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is inspired by Asian tradition, which sees bamboo as the main element for outdoor furnishings together with techniques normally used in the production of rattan furniture.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rotin<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0expresses the unmistakable free spirit of\u00a0<strong>Ethimo<\/strong>\u00a0in constant pursuit of fascinating new ways to interpret contemporary outdoor living. It is a collection that surprises thanks to its unusual combinations and a subtle elegance evident in attention to details, proportions and colour.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Rotin<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the first product line in the\u00a0<strong>Ethimo<\/strong>\u00a0catalogue to be entirely manufactured with technical structural upholstery: soft padding in high-performance materials and fabrics specific for outdoor use with a soft comfortable hand and special draining system, define and lend shape to the very structure of these seating solutions. \u2018Tubes\u2019 of warm pickled teak joined with nautical rope embrace the seats, highlighting their contours and creating the structure of the coffee tables.<\/p>\n<p>As well as form and substance,\u00a0<em><strong>Rotin<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is also colour and the decorative value of this collection\u00a0is emphasised by fabrics in intense hues and surfaces in decisive brights. The tops of the occasional tables in particular feature especially creative use of colour, with their unique patterns\u00a0and extraordinary manual craftsmanship. They are, in fact, made entirely by hand, in enamelled terracotta, waste quarry marble, or cement, and they bring alive wonderful compositions inspired by the Palladian technique. The original combination of these \u201cdetails\u201d in stone stems\u00a0from the use of three types of marble:\u00a0<em>Green Guatemala<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Cipollino<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Bardiglio<\/em>, with cement grouting running between them to create elegant geometric designs on the surface.<\/p>\n<p>The perfect balance of comfort and design,\u00a0<em><strong>Rotin<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a fresh lively collection, a new idea of form, function and ergonomics for outdoors.
