{"id":16873,"date":"2021-05-11T10:35:35","date_gmt":"2021-05-11T09:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/?p=16873"},"modified":"2023-11-29T14:11:55","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T13:11:55","slug":"cucine-a-cielo-aperto-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/en\/cucine-a-cielo-aperto-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Open-air kitchens #4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two private homes, one in Greece, overlooking the Gulf of Patras, and the other in Sicily, in the enchanting setting of\u00a0Mondello, play host in their respective outdoor settings to the\u00a0<em><strong>Ego<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<strong><em>Atelier<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>kitchens by\u00a0<strong>Abimis<\/strong>, suggesting new\u00a0possibilities to shift the versatility and quality of a professional kitchen to the outside, along with unprecedented, often\u00a0surprising, ways to customise the open-air settings to suit individual tastes and requirements.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ego<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0was picked to \u2018furnish\u2019 the villa in Patras, a modern building, somewhat compact in size, surrounded by a large,\u00a0well-shaded garden. This welcoming and stylish summer home is mostly developed outdoors: the interior consists solely\u00a0of a bedroom, complete with a miniature SPA, and a living room that opens up fully onto the garden where the dining\u00a0area and the kitchen are fitted under a large portico.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ego<\/strong><\/em>, made of stainless steel and customised to suit the owners\u2019 particular needs, was produced with the orbitally\u00a0polished finish by hand, a particular process that reduces the visibility of scratches and fingerprints and lends a\u00a0particularly warm and refined appearance to the kitchen, making it ideal for an outdoor solution. The characteristic\u00a0bevelled flush doors integrated into the structure, together with the ergonomic handles, the recessed plinth and\u00a0invisible hinging pivots make\u00a0<em><strong>Ego<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>the perfect line for cooking outdoors, where dirt and dust settle more easily.<\/p>\n<p>The starring role of the home located just a stone\u2019s throw from the main square in Mondello is instead played by\u00a0<em><strong>Atelier<\/strong><\/em>, produced in a version that will definitely not go unnoticed: stainless steel and lemon yellow, a lively and extraordinarily bright hue that lends the kitchen a unique and original personality, capable of setting the style for its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The choice of this particular colour to \u2018clad\u2019 the kitchen doors, perhaps a tribute to the land of citrus fruit, reveals\u00a0<strong>Abimis<\/strong>\u2019s ability not only to customise any project from a colour perspective &#8211; the outer surface can be painted glossy or matt in any RAL colour &#8211; but to do so with techniques and materials capable of guaranteeing the best performance, in terms of durability and hard-wearing resistance. Indeed, the stainless steel of\u00a0<strong>Abimis<\/strong>\u00a0kitchens is painted using the same techniques applied in the\u00a0<em>automotive industry<\/em>: after the paint is applied, the process envisages subsequent phases of smoothing and polishing to guarantee a uniform effect and a colour that is highly resistant to wear.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fully bespoke to accommodate the owners\u2019 desire for a kitchen offering professional performance levels, yet compact in size,\u00a0<em><strong>Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>is a monoblock measuring just 180 cm in length that comprises a cooking area, a washing area, an under-counter refrigerator, a storage compartment and two practical deep drawers.
