{"id":10354,"date":"2017-06-13T16:04:03","date_gmt":"2017-06-13T15:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/?p=10354"},"modified":"2023-11-29T14:09:46","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T13:09:46","slug":"catellani-smith-illumina-il-primo-atelier-aldo-coppola-a-lugano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cavalleri.com\/en\/catellani-smith-illumina-il-primo-atelier-aldo-coppola-a-lugano\/","title":{"rendered":"Catellani &#038; Smith lights up the first Atelier Aldo Coppola in Lugano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As happened in 2013 for the project of the Atelier Kingdom of Beauty, Corso Europa 7 Milan, Aldo Coppola have selected once again\u00a0<strong>Catellani &amp; Smith<\/strong>&#8216;s lighting design for their first flagship store in Lugano.<br \/>\nThe new \u2018kingdom of beauty\u2019 beyond the Alps was conceived from the creativity of Aldo Coppola Jr and to the expertise of the architect\u00a0<em>Anton Kobrinetz<\/em>, to express a comprehensive concept of wellness, that includes exclusive treatments for hair and body care. This unique space extends over an area of 300 m2, complemented by a large panoramic terrace, which offers a wonderful view of Lake Lugano to the guests of the Atelier.<br \/>\nThe most suggestive aspect, though, is represented by the lighting provided by the custom solutions made by Catellani &amp; Smith. Immediately at the Atelier\u2019s entrance, a bespoke \u2018<strong>Gold Moon<\/strong>\u2019 composition, that looks like a &#8216;waterfall&#8217; of discs &#8211; covered by hand with gold-colored leaf and illuminated by small LEDs, that are multiplied and reflected by the mirrored surfaces &#8211; welcomes the guests. Then, going into the salon, the large circular mirrors become the most striking element in each workstation, thanks to the exclusive design of the structure, decorated in the\u00a0<strong>Stchu-Moon<\/strong>\u00a0style, that embeds them.
