Collezione (01) and FLAT/WARE: knIndustrie brings two new collections to the table 16.10.2026
knIndustrie presents two new collections that explore how objects tell the story of the way we cook, serve, eat and live together, demonstrating how tools designed for the kitchen find their full expression at the table, transforming everyday gestures into an experience to be shared.
Collezione (01) stems from the encounter with the imagery of Therapiduo. “Two worlds, one vision: the memory of nineteenth-century images and the charm of vintage objects meet the quality and international vocation of an outstanding production,” is how the creative duo sums up its collaboration with knIndustrie. The project combines essential shapes and clean surfaces with images drawn from ancient figurative repertoires, creating a contrast between languages from distant periods, from which the distinctive character of the creations emerges.
The high-definition engravings from the Therapiduo archive introduce unexpected elements into the formal purity of knIndustrie’s designs, giving rise to a dialogue in which past and present coexist, each maintaining its own identity.
Collezione (01), suspended between function, memory and design, consists of two trays (Ø 67 cm, Ø 39 cm) and the Lazy Susan rotating platter (Ø 47 cm), made of white-painted, screen-printed aluminium. The selected illustrations — a octopus, a pudding and a rhinoceros — go beyond the decorative purpose and alter the perception of the product, following its lines and highlighting its structure. Their visual presence is amplified by the possibility of hanging the trays, making them the undisputed protagonists.
FLAT/WARE, designed by Lara Caffi, stems from a concept of radical reduction: eliminating three-dimensionality without sacrificing functionality. Not a mere formal exercise, but an attempt to reduce cutlery to an essential profile, transforming an everyday object into a “drawing” that becomes part of the mise en place.
FLAT/WARE applies this concept to the world of serving and mixology. Made from a sheet of steel in stone washed or Ice Champagne finishes, the collection’s four pieces — a teaspoon, a moka spoon, a mixing spoon and an appetizer fork —retain their original identity, reducing it to a sculptural silhouette with a millimetre-thin profile and a bold character. Designed to accompany finger food, petits fours and cocktails, the small FLAT/WARE table utensils become decorative accents for every occasion.
Collezione (01) and FLAT/WARE are two interpretations of knIndustrie’s approach to design, a pursuit that finds in the table the place where conviviality comes to life.
