It’s all about turning
“Turn!” is the defining concept behind Cattelan Italia’s latest armchair collection.
A simple gesture that involves both those who use them and the furniture itself: the act of turning becomes an expression of functionality, comfort and design, revealing the true essence of these seating pieces through movement.
Designed by Castello Lagravinese Studio, Peggy is a new upholstered armchair available in both fabric and leather, featuring a swivel base. Its generous proportions, rounded and welcoming silhouette, and the organic folds that shape its profile evoke the protective form of a shell. A solid structure meets soft cushioning to create an oversized armchair that delivers immediate comfort and a striking visual presence.
Conceived as a domestic retreat for everyday relaxation, Peggy has the ability to transform any room into a peaceful corner where time can be devoted to genuine moments of rest. Whether placed in the living room, a private study or the bedroom, Peggy brings a distinctive character to every domestic setting.
Castello Lagravinese Studio also leaves its unmistakable mark on the new Britney. Inspired by the image of two petals gently meeting, its upholstered backrest has been designed to follow the body’s natural contours, inviting users to sit back and enjoy a moment of wellbeing. The swivel base makes it easy to change perspective with a simple movement, without breaking the sense of relaxation.
Thanks to its versatility, Britney integrates naturally into a variety of domestic settings: as an accent chair in front of a dressing table, alongside a desk in a dedicated reading corner, or around a dining table, where it enhances the sense of warmth and conviviality.
Introducing a different rhythm to the collection and completing Cattelan Italia’s new upholstered seating collection, Maurizio Manzoni has designed the new Giselle lounge armchair. A fresh interpretation of comfort takes shape through fine woodworking details and the elegance of a frame that defines the profile of both the seat and the armrests. Left unupholstered, the armrests highlight the craftsmanship of the wood, while the generous seat cushion and welcoming backrest appear to rest effortlessly on the structure, creating a sophisticated contrast between visual lightness and exceptional comfort.
Completing the family, the matching dining chair echoes the same design language, allowing for cohesive and harmonious interiors.
