ETHIMO AT HOMO FABER 2026 23.07.2026

From 1 to 30 September, Ethimo is sponsoring Homo Faber 2026 – An Island of Light, the prestigious international event dedicated to excellence in contemporary fine craftsmanship, hosted at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.

Ethimo’s participation in Homo Faber reflects a genuine shared vision. The theme of the 2026 edition, An Island of Light, curated by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, with artistic direction by Es Devlin, one of the most respected and influential figures on the international creative scene, invites the public to explore the relationship between light, material and the act of making through an immersive journey that brings together master artisans from around the world. This collective narrative celebrates knowledge of materials, creativity and the passing on of skills, highlighting the value of making and the ability to transform material into experience and emotion. These principles are also fully expressed in Ethimo’s approach, which has always been guided by a search for authentic design, combining manufacturing tradition, quality and a close connection with nature.

In this unique setting, where the dialogue between creativity, material and savoir-faire takes shape through immersive installations and experiential pathways, Ethimo is helping to furnish the Giardini della Piscina and the Giardini delle Capriate, two areas designed to welcome visitors and create opportunities for meeting and discovery.

Ethimo’s collections respond to the spaces of the Fondazione, helping to define their welcoming atmosphere and contemplative character. Among them, Patio plays a central role. Designed by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto, the collection reimagines outdoor living as a space for meeting and sharing, in a refined balance between design and nature. Alongside Patio, Rotin, also designed by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto, Knit by Patrick Norguet, Venexia by Luca Nichetto and the Vista armchairs by Christophe Pillet and Kilt by Marcello Ziliani complete the setting, shaping a harmonious ‘landscape’ in keeping with the spirit of Homo Faber 2026.

In the evocative setting of the Venetian island, Ethimo’s furnishings accompany visitors on their route through the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, helping to create spaces for relaxation and socialising that invite the public to experience the event to the full.
