The Contemporary Table. knIndustrie on Display at the ADI Museum in Milan 28.04.2025
“Essenziale e quotidiano. Scenari e rituali del cibo contemporaneo”
The exhibition “Essenziale e quotidiano. Scenari e rituali del cibo contemporaneo”, curated by Carlo Branzaglia and Giulio Iacchetti, explores the relationship between food and design by reinterpreting traditional table settings through a contemporary lens. Open from April 29 to May 25 at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, the exhibition features six entities invited to present their vision of the “place at the table.”
Among the selected brands is knIndustrie, which, for the occasion, showcases some of its most iconic products in an harmonious blend of materials and multifunctional objects.
The compact and durable acacia wood plate is reimagined as a charger plate that enhances the delicacy and transparency of the borosilicate glass soup plate. Adding material contrast to the composition is the dessert plate, made of white ceramic and decorated with a design by Piero Lissoni, along with Zest cutlery, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, in stainless steel.
Featuring a grooved decoration, Groove carafe, designed by Lara Caffi, brings a luminous play of transparency and reflections to the table. Highly practical, In/Taglio and Foodwear items – originally created for food preparation – find their fullest expression as surprising serving dishes.
Also featured is Sparky, the new glass introduced for Milan Design Week 2025. Another new entry is Rubin, a raised stand that draws attention with subtle elegance, lending a touch that is both familiar and refined to the table setting.
The Lady Anne coffee maker completes the composition, and its distinguished presence evokes ancient flavors deeply rooted in Italian tradition.
