Italian masterpieces in London 12.09.2019

Alivar, MyHome and Internoitaliano are exhibiting at the I-MADE Exhibition curated by Giulio Cappellini

I-MADE: I like Italy, MADE like its exceptional design and quality.
Curated by Giulio Cappellini, I-MADE (Italian Manufacture, Art and Design Exhibition) celebrates Made In Italy designs, innovations and craftsmanship with four days of talks and workshops at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
From 19th to 22nd September, in conjunction with the London Design Festival, renowned Italian companies will showcase a selection of items at the contemporary art gallery; through concepts, shapes and materials, these selected products tell the story of an iconic design, which is appreciated all over the world.

Alivar has been invited to the I-MADE exhibition to celebrate Italian excellence and will bring some of the most significant pieces of recent collections to London. Alivar’s identity is the expression of authentic quality: it selects only the highest-quality materials and makes the conscious choice to produce solely in Italy. As a result, it comes as no surprise that it has received the ‘100% Made in Italy’ Certificate, which promotes and celebrates authentic Italian products, attesting to their uniqueness and prestige.

Alivar has chosen to furnish its space at I-MADE with Scribe – the writing desk in customised leather upholstery which features details designed to hold all the small objects we use on a daily basis – and Ester – the chair with thin, light lines which matches the neo-vintage style desk. Then there’s Carol, the armchair which revisits the 50s in a contemporary key, and Oriental Bar, inspired by old Chinese sideboard, for a perfect private corner dedicated to cocktails and drinks. And, last but not least, there’s T-Gong, a set of coffee tables which stand out thanks to the unique processing of their metal top which features concentric reflections on the entire surface.

Alivarwill share its space at the Saatchi Gallery with two other brands of the group: MyHome and Internoitaliano. Giulio Iacchetti is the Art Director of both brands; he created Internoitaliano in 2012, which was purchased by MyHome in 2019.

Baba, the armchair by MyHome, with contrasting volumes in its seat and rolling backrest, will be “flanked” at the stand by a selection of Internoitaliano products, including the terracotta Gioi table and Cave chairs, the Bard footstool, which is a homage to the “parking blocks” in Milan, and the Rolo chair-shelter. Completing the space there will also be small furnishing items such as the Pico desk holder, the Stra magnifying class, the Neri pen and graphite holder collection, the Buti foldable knife and the Osio desk clock.
Then there’s the Lama scissors, the Rino sharpener, the Turi wall clock, the Gela glass jug, the Goro blown-glass glass set, the Dego, Sori and Onzo flower vases inspired by Mediterranean fish, the Orte gardening set, the Gera wrought-iron cross and Livo and Parè, which are fish-shaped ornaments.
