The new Living Coral hue revolutionises MY home collection 14.01.2019

Right on cue like every year, the world-wide authority on the subject of colour, i.e. the Pantone Color Institute, has announced Living Coral as the Pantone Color of the Year 2019. Inspired by the unspoiled beauty of coral reefs and by spectacular sunsets, the new colour that will set the trends this year in the world of design, fashion and beauty, is an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. MY home collection could not fail to be overwhelmed by this vibrant hue, which explodes in the new Chemise sofa designed by Studio Lido headed by Ilaria Innocenti and Giorgio Laboratore. The immediately eye-catching and original design, the abundance of velvet used to upholster the frame, the enveloping loop-belt in painted steel and the sophisticated comfort afforded by the polyurethane foam padding all contribute to making this item of furniture a truly extraordinary piece, ideal for furnishing settings with a lively and ‘sharp’ personality.

MY home collection also offers Belte and Bulé – two ottomans with a young and fresh look that in addition to being used as the usual seat/footrest can also provide a practical storage surface – in the irresistible Living Coral hue. On the one hand, Belte, designed by Elena Salmistraro, touches upon the world of women’s fashion with a metallic gem-belt featuring a geometric pattern that embraces and emphasises the roundness of the polyurethane foam padded frame, and on the other Bulé draws its inspiration from nature’s organic, live and constantly moving language. With its particular mushroom-shaped design, this ottoman is extremely versatile in both shape and size, designed by Lorenzo Palmeri, and it consists of a wooden frame padded with polyurethane foam and polyester fibre lining.

From the living room to the bedroom, all MY home collection products can be ordered and customised in the new Pantone 2019 colour for a contemporary home in keeping with the latest style trends.
